The detailed design and Part 8 planning process for the routes was progressed in 2009 and 2010. 

Construction commenced in 2010 and the following routes have been completed:

Delvin Road to Harbour Street            2.57km
Dublin Road Bellview                           3.97km
Pipers Boreen to Dublin Road            1.14km
Lynn Heights to Millmount                    2.36km
