The Dundalk Gateway was allocated €1.9m towards the redevelopment of Market Square in the centre of the town in order to re-instate Market Square as a multi-functional civic and social focus of the gateway.
A topographical survey of Market Square was completed as well as a traffic survey The Part VIII planning and consultation process was successfully completed in 2010.
The approved scheme was then put out to tender at the end of 2010 with the award date early 2011.
The program for the project remains on target for completion by the end of 2011.
