Additional Topographical Survey Works and Ground Investigation Works were completed in November 2009.
Preliminary Design and Detailed Design has been completed. Part 8 Planning Process for the proposed road was approved by Cavan County Council & Cavan Town Council in June 2010. Land negotiations and acquisition was concluded in early November 2010.
The Main Construction Contract was tendered by Open Procedure between 27th Sept and 4th Nov 2010.
Post Tender Meetings were held with the lowest tenderer, P & S Civil Works Ltd., on the 3rd and 21st Dec 2010.
It is anticipated that construction will commence during 2011.
