From time to time, the Assembly Chamber is used by other groups and organisations. The Dr. Douglas Hyde Summer School of Traditional Irish Music is held in the Assembly in July of each year. Recitals take place each night on Flute, Bodhran, Tin Whistle, Accordian, Banjo, Concertina, Fiddle, Harp, Guitar and Sean Nos singing.
A Coffee Morning in aid of the Mayo/Roscommon Hospice and Alzheimers Association also takes place each year. Roscommon County Council use the Assembly Chamber for training purposes, Area Committee Meetings and for public consultation on major infrastructural projects.
